DMCA & Copyright Infringement Policy for Pikashow

At Pikashow, we realized the effort and creativity that goes into producing movies, TV shows, etc. Those creations have copyright laws applied to them and we still respect those. Likewise, we expect our users to respect them rights and make an incest free use of the contents.

This document sets forth the process for handling claims of copyright infringement and applicable consequences if we determine a user is infringing the copyrights of others.

Our Approach to Copyright

Pikashow is a VOD app, and it provides all types of content like movies, series web series. We aren't shared the copyrighted files in our servers. Our app does not replace the original content; it only allows users to access what is already provided in public, for study and research.

However, we do respond to valid DMCA takedown notices. In most cases the notice will be edited in a reasonable time. If the request complies with the law, the link or material in question will be proactively removed or access to it will be disabled.

When Content May Be Removed

If we get a properly formatted DMCA that is clear, then maybe:

  • Take down the infringing content
  • Disable links to the material
  • Advise (whenever feasible) the source uploader or provider of that content.

Once we have determined that a request is lawful, we can unilaterally take action without advance notice since this falls under our copyright protection obligations.

Copyright Complaint Filing

If you have the rights to a work or if you are authorized to act on behalf of an owner and believe your content is being used on Pikashow without permission, you can request for it be removed. Your notice should include:

  • Your Name
  • Reliable Contact Information (e.g. Email and/or phone)
  • Description of the copyrighted work that is being infringed
  • Location / Link in the pikashow app from where you get that content
  • A statement in which you state that you believe the use of your image not authorized by copyright owner, its agent or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder
  • Your physical or electronic signature
